LEELANAU PONTOON RENTALS Policies and Rental Information

Making a Reservation: A deposit of a full day’s rental is needed to secure a reservation. We do accept all major credit cards. Once your reservation is secure, we will email you the following: confirmation letter, rental agreement, credit card receipt and our rental policies and procedures.

Day of Reservation: We ask that you arrive on time to meet us to pick up your boat. We will be placing the boat in the water and ask that you wait until given the direction from the management that it is time to board the boat. Please plan to return the boat on time prior to 7pm on the day of your rental.

Multi Day Rental: We offer multi day discounts – saving $50 a day for multiple days. If this is your preference you may either return the pontoon boat back to the dock for pickup by 7pm each evening or keep the boat with you overnight, provided it is secured properly on a mooring or boat lift.

Boat Damage: Prior to placing the rental in the water, we take photos of the entire watercraft inside and out.

Cancellation Policies: We require at least a 30 day notice if you wish to cancel your reservation and receive a full refund. If you wish to cancel five to 30 days prior to reservation, you will be refunded 50% of the reservation or you will be given the option to book/change your reservation dates to other available times. Less than a 5 day notice or a no-show on the day of the rental, you will not be eligible for a refund.

Inclement Weather: If on the day of arrival we are experiencing weather that Leelanau Pontoon Rentals deems unsafe, we will issue full refunds. This is a call that can only be determined by LPR as we want to ensure everyone’s safety. This would include choosing not to send out anyone in heavy rain, tremendous wind or expected lightning.

Cleaning Fees: We reserve the right to charge up to a $200 cleaning fee is the boat is found in disarray (i.e.: food, bodily fluids, animal hair, etc). Please be sure to bring the boat back in excellent condition.

Gas: You will start out with a full tank of gas. You are welcome to fill up on your own before you return the boat back or we will fill the gas tank when you return. Please be sure to use ethanol free fuel (Marine Grade). Either way, you will be responsible to pay for the gas used on your boating adventure.

Life jackets: We will provide the basic lifejackets, but please plan to bring coastguard approved lifejackets for children 12 and under that will be riding on the boat. We may have other jackets available, but please check in prior to the day of your rental.
